Woodshop Improvements

The Woodshop Storage area has undergone a major upgrade!

In an effort to provide more useful, accessible, and fair access storage for in-process woodshop projects, we ask that members  use the following policies:

  • Use a cubby sized for your project (let folks who need the taller ones have them)
    • There are 2 foot, 4 foot, and 8 foot cubbys
    • The top cubbies are open on top.  Longer pieces can be stored there.
  • Put a log sheet on your cubby with your name and contact info.
    • Update the log sheet with the date of each work session so we know it’s an active project.
  • Active projects (worked on at least once a week) can stay indefinitely as long as there are available cubbies.  When we run out, long running project owners will be contacted to finish or move their project.
  • Sheet goods (plywood etc.) too big for a cubby should be stored in the sheet goods bin.  Each piece must be labeled with name, cell#, and date.  Update the date each time the piece is used in your project.  Sheet goods time out after 30 days.
  • Unmarked sheet goods are free for anyone to use.  Please don’t claim a full-sheet for yourself.  Cut what you need and put the rest back for another member.
  • If project owner cannot be contacted, project is at risk of being moved into free material or thrown away .
  • Admins will review cubbies on each Woodshop Open House day (mondays)
